This week’s Just Junior is Braylon (Blitz) Litzinger.
Litzinger is an active student in B-A, being in many sports and clubs.
He is a part of the cross-country team, the track and field team and a member of French Club and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).
Litzinger competed with the cross-country team at the LHAC Championship and plans to compete at districts this Saturday. Litzinger wants to run a 20 minute and 30 second time.
Litzinger ran a new personal best of 20 minutes and 18 seconds at this years LHAC Championship. Braylon was extremely happy with this after being stuck at 21 minutes for quite some time.
Coach Soisson said this about Braylon, “Blitz has had a great first season of cross country. He’s a hard worker and isn’t afraid to take risks when racing.”
Litzinger is also a part of B-A’s track team. Litzinger does a mix of both jumping events and sprints, his favorite events being high jump and the triple jump.
Litzinger jumped a 6-foot-high jump and a 41 foot and 4-inch triple jump.
Litzinger competed in a couple of the invite only meets, such as the Igloo, Mountain Lion Classic, the B-A Invitation and the LHAC.
Litzinger’s goals for next track season is to compete at states for his main events.
Coach Lovrich, the head track coach said this, “Blitz has been an excellent athlete for the program. I expect him to keep progressing as an athlete. With him running Cross-Country his endurance should be at an all time high.”
