The Lady Blue devils have been on fire to start the season. They’ve won 3 out their last 4 games and look to continue that streak.

On March 30th the B-A girls softball team traveled up to Bald Eagle to play the Lady Eagles.  The Lady Devils won 8-3.

Throughout the course of this game the girls stayed on top of things scoring 2 runs in the first, 2 runs in the 3rd, 4 runs in the 4th, and 1 run in the 7th.

Palynn Gregg pitched a complete game giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. The bats were hot this game as the lady’s picked up 14 hits, with Hayden Taylor and Parker Martin having 3 a piece.

On April 1st the Devils played against the Bellefonte Red Raiders at home. Bellwood started the game off hot scoring 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Bellefonte was able to add a run in the 4th and 7th inning, tying it up 2-2 heading into the bottom of the 7th. In the end, the ladies rose to the challenge and secured a well-earned victory (3-2).

During this game the girls racked up 8 total hits, with London Mckee leading the charge going 4-4. Palynn Gregg and Lainey Stinson both pitched today and only let up a combined 4 hits.

For their next matchup the girls took a trip to Northern Bedford to take on the Panthers. Now this game was a little different, because through the first 4 innings the game was tied at 1-1. After the opposing star pitcher got taken out, the girls started hitting like crazy. In the 5th and 6th inning they scored a total of 11 runs leading them to a 12-2 W in the 6th inning.

The girls totaled 16 hits this game, with Palynn Gregg and Lainey Stinson both going 3-4. However, Lainey gets the golden bat for this game after she hit a bases loaded grand slam to seal the game. Palynn Gregg started this game and only gave up 1 run on 4 hits. Lainey Stinson was in relief and ended the game with 1 run scored on 2 hits.

The Lady Blue Devils hope to continue this winning streak today as they face off against the Clearfield Bison.
