Alivia Jacobs, a junior at Bellwood-Antis, is continuing to make big moves in the pageant life circle.

Alivia recently was crowned Miss Central Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen 2018 through the Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization.

My favorite category is Interview because I love to talk to people about what I do for my community.

She has been competing for most of her life, but, only for the last four years has she been competing for the Miss America Outstanding Teen Pageant.

Each pageant has contestants competein four categories: Interview, Talent, Lifestyle, Fitness, and Evening gown and onstage questions.

The interview could be as long as 7 minutes. Contestants speak to a panel of judges on a range of topics, which is easy for Alivia, who is a competitive speaker. In talent, Alivia sings.

“My favorite category is Interview because I love to talk to people about what I do for my community,” said Alivia.

Each candidate competes promoting a platform for which they raise awareness. Alivia’s is Breast Cancer.

Even though Alivia is a junior and is going to graduate high school next year, she still hopes to continue competing after high school.

“I hope to continue to compete later after high school, it just depends on where I go to college,” said Alivia.
