TRACK TEAMS SWEEP OLD RIVALS
On B-A’s digital day on Thursday, the teams swept a quad meet and logged the Blue Devils’ 600th win.
“We have had a lot of great athletes who have played a role in (the wins),” Coach Lovrich said. “Going back to the 40s with Steve Hattfield, the 60s with Coach Bob Fowler when they won four straight District 6 championships, and when we went on an 85-meet win streak in the 2000s. B-A has had so many great athletes who have made this happen. We are very fortunate.”
The Blue Devils looked every bit the powerhouse program Thursday, taking first overall in all but one event and all three relays.
Junior Braylon Litzinger was a triple winner, taking first in the long jump, triple jump and high jump, while four other Blue Devils logged two wins each. Cam Nelson took first in the 110 and 300 hurdles, blazing to a 15.2 finish in the 110s. Sophomore Owen Stoltzfus was first in the 200 and 400; Martin Fatzinger claimed the top spot in the 800 and 1600; and senior Jayce Quick won both the shot put and discus.

On the girls side, the Lady Devils claimed the top overall spot in every event but the javelin, led by sophomore Ella Cherry, who took first in four events (100, 200, long jump and triple jump).
