Alex Frederick gets free for big yards against Juniata Valley.

The Blue Devils defeated Juniata Valley last Friday in Alexandria, swatting the Hornets down with a 41-7 win.

B-A came into the nest wanting to build on a Week 2 win,  and another win Friday week keeps the Devils holding their heads high with a 2-1 record this season.

Senior Alex Frederick led the Devils with 122 yards, and 17 carries. Frederick also gave the Devils two touchdowns.

“The offensive line is such an important part of our game,” said Frederick. “I couldn’t have gotten those guys without those yards and their blocks.”

Senior Shawn Wolfe scored with a short drive into the end zone, then soon after found Zach Mallon for a score to put the Devils up at the half 14-0.

B-A really made a statement with its defense, only allowing the Hornets have 5 first downs and forcing JV to make several punts.

Jaxson Rand, Juniata Valley’s fullback, put up Valley’s only touchdown with a 35-yard run into the fourth quarter.

A pair of freshmen, Connor Gibbons and Cooper Guyer, added second-half touchdowns as the Blue Devils rolled to their second ICC win.

B-A continues conference play Friday when it hosts Everett.
