The Bellwood-Antis track teams participated in the United Invitational Saturday, with the boys taking third in the overall standings.

Zach Mallon was B-A’s top finisher taking second place in the high jump with a leap of 5-foot-6. Meanwhile, Sophomore Joe Wertz was the Devils’ only two-place winner. Wertz held down third in shot put  and took fifth in discus.

Senior Shawn Wolfe took third in the 200 meter dash, while Owen Shaulis took sixth in triple jump.

“We had a pretty good showing, tying for third out of 16,” said B-A Coach Nick Lovrich. “We had some second places that were pretty good, and there’s good competition there. Our guys did a good job lasting the whole day and putting forth consistent effort.”

The girls held one spot, finishing sixth in the 1600 meter relay; the team included: Sicily Yingling, Lauren Heisler, Kali Longsinger, and Haley Campbell.
