ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Cynthia Baldwin

RDrum major Cynthia Baldwin is the first Artist of the Week for 2019-2020.

Cynthia Baldwin, who has played the flute for eight years starting in 4th grade, is the BluePrint’s artist of the week. She is a senior and the drum major for the Bellwood-Antis High School marching band.

Drum majors lead the band, so Cynthia feels happy to have been given this responsibility.

“It’s an honor to be the drum major. I’m glad that I could be the drum major for my senior year,” said Cynthia.

Aside from playing the flute, she also plays piccolo and a little violin. Cynthia thought it would be fun to play an instrument and though the flute would be a good choice and it sounded cool.

She is glad to have been given this opportunity and her motivation is to better herself so she can help other students succeed as well. Once in college she plans on continuing to play the flute.
