Bellwood-Antis has a big game on the horizon against Mount Union.

This Friday night, the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils (7-0) travel to take on the Mount Union Trojans (5-2) in a marquee ICC matchup.

Mount Union is having a very successful 2021 campaign at a 5-2 mark, with their only losses coming to Berlin Brothersvalley who wasn’t originally scheduled for them and is one of the top teams in the 2A division in PA. They also forfeited a game to West Branch due to COVID issues on their team. The Bellwood defense will certainly have their hands full with the Mount Union offense, who averages 37 points per game this season. They have a lot of speed and talent on that side of the ball with a dual threat QB and speedy receivers.

The Blue Devils will look to rely on their powerful run game, which averages 236 yards per week on the ground with star tailback Connor Gibbons and the ferocious Blue Devil offensive line. Coach Nick Lovrich would also like to air the ball out a little bit more this week and see QB Zach Pellegrine find his weapons and develop the passing game as the season progresses.

This Friday Night will be a good test for the Blue Devils, which will feature 2 playoff teams and a tough road matchup for Bellwood.

The game will take place in Mount Union at 7PM.
