The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ soccer team kicked off its 2015 season  at home against West Branch on Saturday, September, improving to 1-0 after a 10-0 victory.

Bellwood-Antis players on the soccer team include Marissa Panasiti (captain), Christina Kowalski, Raegan Plowman (captain), Riley D’Angelo, Brynne Swogger, and Brianna Reiter.

After missing her junior year from an ACL tear, Marissa Panasiti will be returning this year for her final high school season, along with Christina Kowalski and Raegan Plowman.

“I think our team will have a strong season. Most of our players are returning starters. We should definitely make a run into playoffs,” said Christina.

Meanwhile, the boys’ soccer team begins its season with an away match at West Branch on Tuesday, September 8.

Bellwood-Antis boys include Noah D’Angelo (captain), Nic Mallory (captain), Brennan McKendree, Amado Cardozo, Blake Johnston, Aaron Andrews, Alex Schmoke, Owen Shaulis, Mason Yingling, and Quinton Nelson.

“I think our team is very experienced, and we will have a good chance at winning districts,” said optimistic senior captain Noah D’Angelo.

The boys and girls soccer teams are ready to have outstanding seasons.
